More knitted stuff!

I forgot to tell you I've been knitting more phone covers! After the roaring success of the phone cover I made for my boyfriend, everyone wanted one. So I made one each for my mam and dad but the first cover I made for my mam went horribly wrong... I knitted it using tweed ( a much sturdier material, ideal for a robust phone cover), which was a lot stretchier than I had realized so the cover was waaaaay too big for my Mam's petite little phone. But one woman's trash is another woman's treasure and I found that it is the perfect size for my camera, (Some cynical persons have suggested this happy accident of being the result of a cold, calculated plan, masterminded by the accused after the accused's mother lost the accused's original camera cover, of course, they couldn't be more wrong.) and here it is in all it's loveliness...

I Have Knits!

Hurray! Google have finally gotten around to indexing my blog! So finally when I search for it (and I'm quite confident I'm the only one), it appears!

So! News... I and my lovely friend Sue have decided to set up our own little website to sell our wares. We will begin with funky i-pod and phone covers and go from there. It will be called I Have Knits and it will be hilarious, cute and eye-wateringly beautiful. Not only will we deliver our lovely trinkets to the masses, I will also roll up my sleeves and earn my coin as an animator. It can't fail!

In knitting news, I am still in my knitting classes but have found that when I need to learn certain knitting techniques I find them on the internet or from Mammy Hyland during the week, rather than from my teacher (though the knitting class has been very useful in preparing me for the various trials and tribulations I might suffer in old age). At the moment, I'm knitting a baby cardigan from a pattern I found in Woman's Weekly. Which I'll give to my boyfriend's gorgeous goddaughter Caoileann.

Later!

Hello! I've actually been doing stuff! Hurray!!! I've thrown my (woolly) hat into the knitting ring and I'm really enjoying it! I've joined a knitting class and have been meeting up with a couple of friends in the Library Bar in Dublin where we knit and drink tea.

I've made a couple of phone covers and here's a picture of the ipod nano cover I made and a hat which I just finished today. I'm ridiculously proud!
